So, the Finnish government published a policy report on defense issues on Thursday. It\u2019s like 37 pages long and it uses some pretty big words, so you probably won\u2019t want to read the whole thing<\/a>. So here\u2019s the \u201cfor dummies\u201d version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various members of the government keep playing this down<\/a>, but the report clearly says that the biggest threat to Finland\u2019s security is.\u2026 Can you guess? Ok, I\u2019ll give you a hint: He\u2019s 64 years-old and loves plastic surgery. No, Donald\u2026 it\u2019s not Mickey Rourke<\/a>. OK, one more hint: You’re closer to him than you are to your proctologist. Ding, ding, ding! You got it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So Putin is the problem. And these are the answers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Boosting Finland\u2019s Defense Forces from 230,000 to 280,000 with gung ho (and gun ho, I guess) volunteers looking to kick some serious ass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Buying new gear, including those discounted fighter planes I mentioned in my last letter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Strengthening defense cooperation with Sweden. Ok, cool, as long as there\u2019s no hockey involved that should work. Both parties support things like joint training and sharing information and snus, but it\u2019s unclear whether Sweden would actually have our backs if and when the shit really hits the fan. But whatever\u2026 I know you\u2019re not interested in details like that, so let\u2019s just move on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To NATO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report talks about how NATO is dedicated to defending the territory of its members and how it\u2019s boosting its military readiness in the Baltics and elsewhere. Uh-huh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also says that Russia wants to challenge NATO\u2019s ability to defend that territory should a military crisis flare up. Yeah, that\u2019s a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there\u2019s actually a much bigger problem than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Finnish government\u2019s policy report on defense issues doesn\u2019t say ONE SINGLE WORD about the biggest threat today not only to peace and security in the US but the whole world: YOU!!! I mean, seriously, WTF guys?!?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, Russia is a threat. But it\u2019s an even bigger f***ing threat that president of the United States is essentially Russia\u2019s bitch<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve said that NATO is \u201cobsolete\u201d. And everyone can see that you value enemies more than friends. NATO is worried. And they should be. We\u2019re not even in<\/em> NATO and we SHOULD be worried, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday president Sauli Niinist\u00f6 met with US secretary of defense James Mattis. Niinist\u00f6 said they talked about Finland\u2019s relationship with Russia. And that Mattis assured him that Europe has nothing to worry about<\/a>, especially when it comes to NATO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOL\u2026 yeah\u2026 sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s like Helen Keller once said: \u201cThe only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
