It&#8217;s sex. Personally, I&#8217;ve never understood why anyone cares what anyone else does in their bedroom.&nbsp;I&nbsp;don&#8217;t care unless&nbsp;I&#8217;m in that bedroom or if a 5-year old is in that bedroom.&nbsp;Like most people, I do care if my friends and neighbors are nice people.&nbsp;And I definitely care that everyone has the right to make a &#8221;union&#8221; with whoever they want. What could possibly be bad about two people who really care about one another.&nbsp;They&#8217;re not the problem &#8211; it&#8217;s those who love to hate who are the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u00e4ivi, I&#8217;ve read that you have kids. If one of your kids was gay, wouldn&#8217;t you want that child to find someone to love and make a life with?&nbsp;Or would you disown or be embarrassed by that child? Or try to find someone who would &#8221;straighten&#8221; him or her out? Well, you&#8217;d be wasting your time if you did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve also read that you&#8217;re the head of the Christian Democratic Party, so I&#8217;m assuming that your main argument against equal marriage is that God wouldn&#8217;t approve. But P\u00e4ivi, why in the world would you think God would hate homosexuals? When I went to Sunday school, we were always tought that God is an infinitely loving being. And remember, P\u00e4ivi, God was the father of Jesus, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gospel_of_John\">Gospel of John<\/a> refers to John as &#8221;the disciple whom Jesus loved.&#8221; I&#8217;m just saying\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyway, P\u00e4ivi, I could go on and on. But the point is that it&#8217;s time to grow up.&nbsp;People are people.&nbsp;Actually, like that wise little girl said: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=10152870389803142&amp;set=a.26591308141.48732.651748141&amp;type=1&amp;theater\">&#8221;All people are who they are.&#8221;<\/a> Some of them are short and fat, some are tall and gorgeous, some are black, some are Asian, some are Finnish, and some are gay or transgender.&nbsp;Most of them want the same thing in life &#8211; somebody to love, somebody to love them, somebody to talk to and yes, somebody to sleep with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let it go P\u00e4ivi.&nbsp;The U.N. has plenty of work to do without worrying about gay, or for that matter, straight, marriage. And I&#8217;m sure you and your colleagues in the Finnish Parliament do too. So when you <a href=\"http:\/\/yle.fi\/uutiset\/mps_to_face_conscience_vote_on_gay_marriage\/7641808\">vote next Friday<\/a> remember &#8211; it&#8217;s ok to change your mind at the last minute and do the RIGHT thing. God will understand.
