Serbia War Crimes
Chief prosecutor of The International War crimes Tribunal in Hague, Serge Brammertz, looks on during talks with Serbian President Boris Tadic, in Belgrade, Serbia, Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009. Brammertz is reviewing Serbia’s efforts to arrest Mladic. His assessment is important for Belgrade’s bid to join the European Union. The Netherlands has blocked Serbia’s road toward EU until Mladic faces justice. He was charged for the 1995 massacre of more than 7,000 Muslims from Srebrenica and other crimes.
