Police fire tear gas at shipyard workers during a protest in Gijon, northern Spain, on Monday, May 18, 2009. The workers, who were forced to retire early from the Spanish shipbuilding company Naval Gijon, have occupied the company’s premises to demand that the company continues paying their salaries after the closure of the company at the end of May.
