There are always things right under our noses that we never appreciate.We just go about our day like spoiled children, taking trousers, coffee and walking for granted, thinking it´s always been like this. The thing is, it´s not.
Take the stairs, we walk them every day, but do we appreciate it? No! If presented with an alternative, we´ll arrogantly jump into the nearest elevator or escalator.
Stairs are fantastically versatile. Show me the escalator that transport people upwards, downwards or even sideways AT THE SAME TIME! When was last time you sat down with that special someone in an elevator to enjoy a chat and a soda? That´s right! NEVER!
How would the Senate square church or the Parliament look if they had just stuck a bunch of elevators at the bottom? Damn horrible, that´s how they would look!
Flatulence in a staircase? Not really a problem. In an elevator? MAJOR problem.
So this week´s facts is a celebration of THE STAIRS! Let´s hear it for the stairs, people.
